FWISD To Observe College Colors Day September 3
Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth ISD teachers and staff are encouraged to dress in their college colors on Friday, September 3, 2021 as a way to further encourage students to consider a college education.
District schools will be creative. While some may have everyone dressing in gear from his or her favorite institution, others will have locker decorating or classroom door decorating contests. Still, other campuses may play the fight song of nearby or popular universities or bring in a speaker virtually to promote the benefits of higher education.
“Even in these uncertain times, it is important for us to continue to foster a culture that expects students to become life-long learners,” said Dr. Anita Perry, executive director of FWISD Collegiate Programming and Advisement. “I know that many of our campuses and students will do great and exciting things to celebrate College Colors Day.”
Please share your College Colors Day originality on social media using the hashtag #FWISDCollegeColors and tag @FortWorthISD on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We’ll share as many photos and videos as we can on our District platforms!
