McLean Wins Middle School Whiz Quiz
In an exciting finish Wednesday night, McLean Middle School took Fort Worth ISD’s Middle School Whiz Quiz Championship title by defeating Daggett Montessori.
Earlier, Daggett Montessori beat Applied Learning Academy in the first semi-final. McLean topped Riverside Middle School in the second semi-final. Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist Bud Kennedy moderated the matches.
Other highlights of the evening included:
- Culinary Arts students from South Hills High School served bruschetta tarts and caramel cheesecake bites to the audience. Kroger generously provided all the supplies.
- The Southwest High School Jazz Ensemble entertained between matches.
- Gold Seal Advanced Media Program students from Southwest High School took part in the live production of the contests.
