FWISD To Observe Education Go Get It Week
Themed attire days, fun class activities and visits from college and military representatives and mascots is how some schools across the Fort Worth ISD are observing Education Go Get It Week.
Celebrated September 9-13, the annual event informs FWISD students about post-secondary education opportunities available to them including college, military and vocational training.
Statewide campaigns for Education Go Get It Week are focusing on college applications and financial aid awareness.
This week, FWISD counselors, college and career coaches, and teachers are highlighting the importance of higher education by:
- Spotlighting college and career information;
- Providing presentations that help students plan for college and understand the basics of admissions and financial aid;
- Welcoming speakers from local colleges and universities to share information and answer questions.
Don’t forget to post your photos on social media during the weeklong celebration using the hashtags #GoFWISD and tagging @FortWorthISD on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We’ll share as many photos as we can on our District platforms!
