Last night started out great and we played 3 fantastic innings.. Then slowly things started to fall apart. We sadly lost 16-3 and our season comes to an end.  Though it is not the ending we wanted, we had a good run. We are so proud of the these girls. Our season started with some tough losses and big lessons, district came along and we were ready and on fire.  Even with the score last night, our girls did not give up. They kept trying to fight back and even scored our last 2 runs in our last at bat.  We will take some time to reflect on the season and then it is time to get back to work. We lose several great seniors, but our future is bright with our younger players.

It was a long back and forth battle against Benbrook!! After 9 innings and about 3.5 hours of softball,  your Lady Cougars took a tough loss against Benbrook by a score of 11-14. I am so proud of these young women and the way the fought throughout the game. They never gave up!! Thank you to all of the amazing people that came out to support us and stayed to enjoy an emotional Senior Night!!  We love our girls!! So we finish district play 8-2 and in 2nd place. Too many errors and not enough hitting caused your Lady Cougars to fall short tonight in a 3-9 loss to Benbrook! We will dust off and get back after it on Thursday when we play them again at home.

JV at 5 and Varsity at 6:30pm.

We would like to recognize the teachers before the game, so please come out. The girls will love seeing you there. Then stick around after the game as we celebrate our 7 great Seniors!!

Tonight we celebrated our Softball Alumni. 

We were joined by Coach (Green)Woods, who started the program in 1993, Coach Burns and Coach Matsler as well. Players from the past included Jessica Grima, Madison Lee, Celeste Rojas, Kylie Shelton, Lupita Torres and Lorin Joiner.

After team introductions and Alumni Recognition,  your Lady Cougars defeated Castleberry 15-5 in 5 innings. The girls collected 12 hits total with Cynthia Juarez, Grace Lindamood,  and Kaity Radford collecting multiple hits in the game.

Your Lady Cougars are 8-0 in district play. Next week we face a tough Benbrook team that is also currently 8-0 in district. Tuesday, April  16th we play at Clark at 6:30 and again Thursday,  April 18th at home 6:30.  Thursday,  will start with Teacher Appreciation and end with our Senior Night Recognition! Please come out and support the girls!!

Great win tonight! Beat Castleberry 13-3! Lots of great hits!! So proud of the girls!!! 7-0 in district play!!

Sara Baker was 3-3 and Grace Lindamood and Yana Begma both had multiple hits. Grace also pitched a great game striking out 9 batters in 6 innings of play only giving up 1 hit.

vs. Dunbar

Your Lady Cougars are 2-0 in district play! Lots of hits and lots of runs!! The girls defeated the Dunbar Wildcats 22-0 and 15-0!

Freshman Grace Lindamood pitched both games. 2 no hitters and averaged at least 1 strike out per inning!! Offensively everyone put the bat on the ball for a great night!!

Last night was a marathon… A long fought battle and a very late night… Sadly we fell short in the end losing 32-30.. Yes, you read that right, 32-30. It was a battle of the bats. Both teams hit well, we just made too many mistakes. I am proud of the girls for never giving up. A special thank you to Ms. Wilson, Mr. Posey, Ms. Martin and Doc B for sticking it out with us! We also appreciate all the fans that came and stayed for the late finish.
