  • About the organization

NHS National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments but also challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

For more information, see the national website for NHS.

While Rebeca has moved on to bigger and better things, National Honor Society students will be continuing her efforts by maintaining Rebeca's Closet. The following is a link to the live inventory of Rebeca's Closet. If you are in a position to help, we will accSaveept donations of items on the list. We cannot accept any form of money.

If you or your family is in need of these essential items, please reach out to Ms. Asbury or Ms. Muñoz immediately. Recipients of donations remain confidential as we work on a one-on-one basis with each family in order for Rebeca's Closet to be as helpful as possible.
