Tarrant County College South / FWISD Collegiate High School opened their doors in the 2015-2016 year on a mission to serve students in the Early College High School Model. Subsequently, in an effort to serve all students and the community, we applied for and received the 2018-2019 PTECH Planning Grant. Our School will open our doors in the 2019-2020 school year as a Pathways in Technology Early College High School. This program evolution will enhance our current ECHS program by working with industry partners to offer work-based experiences at all grade levels, opportunities to earn industry certifications and academic degrees in the field of Renewable Energy. All of our ECHS Students who began the program between 2015 and 2017 will be served in the ECHS program as promised. Students who entered our school as 9th grade in the 2018-2019 year will have the opportunity to select the new PTECH degree pathways or remain in the traditional ECHS programs of study.

Admission Policy
All interested applicants must apply for a Gold Seal Program of Choice even if the program or school is at the home school campus. Students assigned to a Program of Choice receive priority in course scheduling.
Admission is based on a computer-generated random selection process. Parents, students and schools will be notified via mail February 2019.

Recruitment Plan
Presentations will be made to all 5th and 8th grade students October 2 - November 2.
The Choices Expo is schedule for November 2018 at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center (5201 C.A. Roberson, Fort Worth 76119), Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
The P-TECH/ICIA program shall provide a rigorous course of study that enables a participating student to receive a high school diploma, an associate degree, postsecondary certificate provided by an IHE, or industry certification during Grades 9-14.

P-TECH/ICIA will provide wrap-around strategies and services involving multiple stakeholders (parents, teachers, counselors, community members, etc.) to strengthen both the academic and technical skills necessary for high school and college readiness, as well as provide academic, technical, and individual support for students to be successful in rigorous academic and work-based learning experiences.
