Mrs. Kim Karber is from a small town in Oklahoma called Ponca City.  She came to Fort Worth 28 years ago to begin her teaching career after graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University.  This is her 28th year working in Fort Worth ISD.   She has been working at Oakhurst for 18 years.  Before coming to Oakhurst, she was a classroom teacher at Sunrise Elementary and Mendoza Elementary.  She has had various positions throughout her career. Mrs. Karber has been a classroom teacher, a reading recovery teacher, a title 1 teacher, a literacy coach, and a data analyst.
