Instructional Coach

Hello! So glad to be joining the Wildcat team! I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, then a Masters and PhD in Experimental Psychology, all from the University of Texas at Arlington.  I have been in education for more than 22 years. I specialized in animal behavior and started my career at the Dallas Zoo.  After that I was an adjunct instructor at both Tarrant County College and the University of Texas at Arlington.  Finally, I moved to high school as a teacher at Lake Worth HS, then the Lancaster Can Academy, where I was a Science Teacher, Instructional Coach, and a reading Interventionist. This year I am happy to become a part of the Dunbar team as an Instructional Coach for the Math and Science departments.

Married for 34 years, I have 3 children; one an English teacher and the other two are enrolled in college.  My hobbies include travel, reading, swimming and hanging out with family and friends.
