Mrs. Montes

My name is Alexandra Montes and I am excited and happy to get to be a part of the Versia L. Williams community. I was born in Mexico City, Mexico and moved to the United States when I was 5 years old.  During the course of my 21 years as an educator, I have spent most of my time teaching in the East, West, North and South Side Communities. I am a proud graduate of Texas Wesleyan University and Concordia University at Austin where I obtained my latest degree in Educational Administration. I began my Education career in White Settlement ISD before starting in Fort Worth ISD. This is my 21st year in Education and 6th year as a Principal. 

 
One of my core beliefs is that no matter who you are or where you've come from, you can always change and become a better version of yourself. I instill this in the students, staff, and school everyday!

Assistant Principal

 

Hola! My name is Ms. Highfill and I am excited to join and serve the Versia Williams community. I was born and raised in North Fort Worth, and at the age of 9 years old I knew I wanted to become a teacher.  A few years later, I developed a love for children with special needs, and desired to work to grow every learner no matter their ability. I graduated from the University of Texas and became a special education teacher. As I begin this new chapter as an Assistant Principal, and my 10th year as an educator in FWISD, the social-emotional and academic success of each child will remain my focus by growing and leading teachers. 
At the University of Texas, our motto was “What starts here, changes the world.” My core belief is that EVERY child at Versia Williams has the potential to change the world in different ways. I look forward to leading and growing the students, staff, and community this school year as we strive for excellence for every student.
