Voter Information
Section 13.046 of the Texas Election Code requires that:
Each principal of a public or private high school or the principal's designee shall serve as a deputy registrar for the county in which the school is located. At least twice each school year, a high school deputy registrar shall distribute an officially prescribed registration application form to each student who is or will be 18 years of age or older during that year, subject to rules prescribed by the secretary of state.
You are eligible to register to vote if:
• You are a United States citizen;
• You are a resident of the county where you submit the application;
• You are at least 17 years and 10 months old, and you are 18 years of age on Election Day.
• You are not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole); and
• You have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
Voter Registration Drives will be conducted during Economics classes for all seniors on Friday, March 11th and again on Friday, March 25th.
Additional voter registration cards are available in the main office on campus.
