Fort Worth ISD Traveling to Middle Schools to Showcase Choice Programs
Fort Worth ISD middle school students are already thinking about their future education, and they have a wide range of choices available to them within the district.
Middle schools all across the district are currently hosting mini-expos to highlight the Gold Seal Choice programs and schools available. These mini-expos are leading up to the 2023 Choices Expo, which will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 3rd and from 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 4th at the FWISD Teaching and Learning Center, located at 1050 Bridgewood Drive.
At these mini-expos, 8th-grade students and their families can engage with representatives from various high schools to learn about the diverse educational opportunities offered, including different programs, certifications, and options for higher education.
Some of the programs available in the district include early college high schools, where students can earn an associate's degree while in high school, as well as offerings in agriculture, aviation, construction, engineering, cosmetology, education, law enforcement, medical studies, broadcast journalism, marketing, fine arts, and much more.
If your child is interested in being part of a Gold Seal Choice program or a School of Choice, applications will open on Nov. 3rd at 4 p.m.. For more information, visit fwisd.org/choices.
When is my child’s mini-expo?
The department has already visited several campuses, so be sure to ask your child if their school has already hosted its expo. If you missed it, no need to worry! You can still attend the larger expo on Nov. 3rd and 4th.
