    Chromebook Care

    Dear Parents or Guardians,

Students in grades PK-5 have been issued a district-owned Chromebook for the 2022-23 school year. Chromebooks are used in the classrooms daily during academic instruction. Students will be allowed to take their Chromebook home for homework purposes.

When the Chromebooks are taken home, students are responsible for the upkeep, as well as ensuring their Chromebooks are brought back to school each day. Please keep in mind that students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are using their Chromebooks to complete the MAP Growth test for Math and Reading, as well as the MAP Fluency for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade during the entire month of January.

Chromebooks must be brought to school each day, fully charged. A fully charged device will last 8-10 hours. Students should charge their Chromebook nightly and not rely on the ability to charge during the school day. The Chromebooks and chargers should always be stored inside the case for added protection. Please see the Chromebook Care rules for a list of expectations regarding care of student devices.

Please contact the school if you have any questions.

    Thanks for your continuous support,

    Dr. B. Dowell, School Librarian
