Updates for January and February 2024

- Grade 12: Please continue to submit your FAFSA/TASFA documentation. The goal is to have everyone complete by no later than the end of February. Submit proof of submission to Ms. Baltazar.
- The next WoW TALK Cafés will be held in TRWF 4410 room on Jan. 31 and Feb. 28. You must register to participate. Meals and gift cards will be provided. Students get together to talk about life stressors and how to manage them. Facilitated by MHMR.
- The next family webinar will cover the programs offered by UNT Health Science Center, including the bachelor's-level biomedical science program, a streamlined PharmDirect opportunity and a new nursing degree. Join from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 19 on Zoom. A link will be sent via email.
- Report cards were issued Jan. 17 on Focus.
- New transcripts with updated GPAs and rankings will be available Feb. 5. After that date, copies of student transcripts will be distributed to students in grades 10 through 12. Current ninth-graders will not have GPA or rank on their transcripts.
- The first two attendance recovery sessions for the fall semester will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Jan. 30 and 31 in TRWF 4609. Late buses will be available both days. Students must submit proof of work and recovery forms to Mr. Anderson for credit. Future dates: Other dates: Feb. 6, 7, 13 and 14 and, if necessary, Feb. 10 and 17 from 8-12 a.m.
- Students participate in guidance lessons once or twice a week.
- PROTECT human trafficking presentations for students who had parent/guardian consent conclude Feb. 8.
- All students are discussing setting goals for the semester and beyond.
- Students will learn about healthy relationships and cyberbullying using the Play It Safe curriculum and contributions from The Women's Center.
