My name is Bertha Aguilar.  I am happy to say this is my 12th year at Luella Merrett.  I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 2nd grade.  I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington.  In my spare time I love watching my son and daughter play various sports.  I also enjoy camping, reading, traveling and exercising. I chose to become a teacher because teaching is truly a career where you can make a life-long impact in a child's life.  

This is my 25th year teaching and I have taught Pre-K, Kinder, First and Second Grade. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood and Reading from Dallas Baptist University. I have a son that is a junior in high school that loves baseball. I enjoy walking, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family. I look forward to a year filled with learning and growth.

My name is Ms. Cavazos and I have been teaching for 26 years. My degree is in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood and ESL. When the weather is nice, I enjoy hiking, doing yardwork and spending time on the beach. I am very pleased to be at Luella Merrett Elementary school because it is truly the best place to bee! Go Super bees!

This is my 23rd year to teach at Luella Merrett.  I have taught Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grade. I graduated from University of Texas Arlington with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have 2 children, a dog and 2 cats.  I love to spend time outside with my family and friends.
