WOW! It was an exciting Regional Championship this year in Frisco with 54 teams competing YES 54! Well I am happy to announce that Western Hills will have a representative at the State Championships this coming weekend! Aaliyah Ruiz fought for 2 days and finished 5th at the tournament in the 119lb weight class. She will be traveling to Houston on Thursday, February 20, and the possibility of competing against the Best 15 girls in the State at 119lb. Congratulate her when you see her and wish her Good Luck!

The cougars had a great showing this past weekend with:

2 - 2nd placers
1 - 3rd placer 
1 - 4th placer
2 - 5th placers 

Almost all of the wrestlers had less than 1 years experience so I am very proud of the group!
