      TSIA testing plan

      • TABS endeavors to make the TSIA accessible for students while also protecting time in class. TSIA sessions are scheduled based on student requests and needs and will take place, in general, one Friday each month. The primary testing site will be the Tarrant County College Testing Center, but if there isn't space for all of the students who have requested a session, TABS will act as a testing site.

Students are provided an unlimited number of opportunities to pass the TSIA and may request to test at any time either online or in person. Information about the TCC testing center can be found here. Information about how TCC handles the TSI assessment can be found here.

Students are encouraged to study using materials provided by College Board. In addition, students may attend tutoring after school and during advisory with English and math teachers.

Students who, after multiple attempts, are not successful on the TSIA may enroll in Texas College Bridge. This self-paced, online program allows students to become TSI-met without taking the exam. More information about Texas College Bridge may be found here.
