Hello! I began my career with FWISD in 2018 after thirteen years teaching in higher education. In 2005, I earned my Masters in Teaching ESL, and am certified to teach EC-6, ESL, Bilingual, PE, Health, and ELA 4-8. My favorite part of being an elementary school teacher is doing read-alouds in funny voices, running with my students at recess, and watching my students grow in confidence as they master new skills. I am very proud to be teaching here at Westcliff Elementary. My motto in teaching and life comes from the words of my grandmother Lucía; "Cada problema tiene su solución" or "Every problem has a solution."

I am beginning my 28th year here at Westcliff.  I even went to school here when I was a child.  I graduated from Texas Christian University in 1995.  I love being a first-grade teacher!  I have so much fun learning and dancing with my wonderful students!  In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, Henry and playing with my cat, Tigger.

I am excited to begin my 23rd year of teaching here at Westcliff Elementary.  I am in my 16th year of teaching first grade. Each year it is exciting to watch first graders show the amount of growth academically, socially, and emotionally they can make. I am a proud graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. I am originally from Montana, but have become a true Texan.  I continue to visit my family in Montana at Christmas and during the summer. 

In my free time, I love spending time with my dog Max. I also enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles and crafts!

I am so excited about the 2022-2023 school year! I am looking forward watching and working with a new group of first graders!

I am starting my 9th year as a DLE teacher here at Westcliff Elementary. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st and 4th Grade. I also taught in a University for 4 years in my home country, Venezuela, but nothing compares to teaching here at Westcliff. I love it! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a professional degree in law equivalent to a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Master of Business Administration, all from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education in the United States. I want my students develop the same passion that I have for studying and achieving goals. We are all a family at Westcliff and I am blessed and honored to teach here. This year will be another exciting and memorable year!

Estoy comenzando mi 9o año como maestra bilingüe aquí en la escuela primaria Westcliff. He enseñado Kinder, primero y 4to grado. También enseñé en la universidad por 4 años en mi pais Venezuela, pero nada se compara a enseñar aquí en Westcliff. ¡Amo enseñar! Tengo una Licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas, soy Abogado y también tengo un Master en Negocios, todos acreditados regionalmente por instituciones de educación superior en los Estados Unidos. Yo quiero que mis estudiantes desarrollen la misma pasión que yo tengo por estudiar y alcanzar las metas. En Westcliff todos somos una familia y me siento bendecida y honrada en enseñar aquí.
