This is my 9th school year as the full-time school counselor at Westcliff.  I have always known that I wanted to teach so after high school I earned my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Tuskegee University.  Before settling in at Westcliff I taught 4, 5, and 6th grades in Fort Worth ISD and surrounding districts.  It was during that time that I realized I wanted to help my students who so often shared the challenges of their lives.  I returned to school earning my Master's of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. As a school counselor, I have the best of both worlds.  I am able to help my students cope with life's challenges while also teaching social and emotional lessons to all students as a preventative measure.  I also have the pleasure of working with parents and teachers to provide resources to help everyone succeed.  In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and two children.
