Ms. Bellizan is a seasoned communications professional and educator with a passion for empowering students to excel in the dynamic field of media and communications. With over 25 years of experience, Ms. Bellizan has cultivated a diverse skill set in media production, journalism, and public relations, which she now leverages to educate and inspire the next generation of communication professionals.

Ms. Bellizan holds two Masters degrees one in Educational Leadership and one in New Media and Journalism. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Xavier University of New Orleans, Louisiana.

She has been a faculty member at Young Women’s Leadership Academy for over 10 years where she has served on panels and committees dedicated to advancing the practice of student leadership in the digital age.

Ms. Bellizan is dedicated to nurturing a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and ethical responsibility. Her students’ benefit not only from her expertise, but also from her genuine commitment to their success, both inside and outside the classroom.

In her free time, Ms. Bellizan enjoys exploring new trends in media, volunteering with community organizations, and mentoring aspiring media professionals.
