I am not only the daughter of a teacher, but also the great-granddaughter of Anna Maria Lopez Bazan, who taught in a one-room schoolhouse in South Texas in the early 1900s. After receiving my BS in Education from Baylor University, I have had the opportunity to teach in Texas and Louisiana since 1997. I completed my Triple Literacy Masters in Education at UTA in 2018, and am fully focused on being a lifetime learner! In addition to teaching AP Lang and Pre-AP English II, I am a certified Level 2 Endurance Coach with the USATF, and am a part of many professional teaching organizations. I married my high school sweetheart and live with my husband and 3 daughters in Fort Worth.
