After placing second in their respective categories at the 2018 Texas History Day, two projects created by four FWISD students went on to compete at the National History Day this summer in College Park, MD.

Each year thousands of students, encouraged by teachers and parents statewide, participate in the National History Day program in Texas. Texas History Day, an affiliate of NHD and is a highly regarded academic program for 6th through 12th grade students. Each year more than 65,000 Texas students join more than 500,000 students across the country for National History Day!
The Fort Worth ISD Social Studies department is pleased to announce that 17 students placed at the regional competition hosted at UT Arlington. Student projects that were awarded first or second place advance to the Texas History Day state competition. The state competition takes place on April 29-30 at Texas at the Bob Bullock History Musuem in Austin, Texas.
