Esports is an organized video game competition where individual or team competitors from various teams and leagues face off in the same game and are challenged to earn the highest points. The purpose of incorporating Esports into the academic arena is to help increase strategic thinking, teamwork, communication, leadership, performance skills, and confidence building. These essential employability skills range across a wide spectrum of careers, including aviation, remote flying, computer science, engineering, medical field, etc.
