    We are excited to inform you that as part of our ongoing efforts to support learning outside of regular school hours, Fort Worth ISD-Technology is offering home internet access to eligible families. The program eligibility was determined as follows:

    • the family indicated on the FWISD Enrollment Registration that they do not have internet access at home or that it is not adequate for students to complete school work;
    • the home address is within the viable signal range of a FWISD-LTE radio antenna;
    • the student is taking the FWISD issued MacBook or iPad home daily.

    What is FWISD-LTE?

    Our Mission is “preparing ALL students for success in college, career, and community leadership.” To support our students, Fort Worth ISD provides access to the FWISD student network for internet connectivity at home. This resource is called the FWISD-LTE Home internet Program. Transmission towers and rooftop antennas have been installed at 24 schools. The coverage area includes homes East of Interstate-35W and homes in the Rosemont and Northside neighborhoods. Many homes of Fort Worth ISD students that are within a half-mile of the following schools will be able to access the FWISD-LTE network.

    How the FWISD-LTE Home Internet Program Works

    If you are interested in participating in this program, complete the FWISD-LTE Program Agreement Form and return it to your school Assistant Principal. A router will be issued to your child to take home. Instructions for setup and use will be provided. The FWISD-LTE Home Internet Program only provides internet access for Fort Worth ISD MacBooks and iPads issued to students. Other home devices will not be able to connect to the router. If you have any questions, contact your school Assistant Principal for program details.
