Two Marine Creek Seniors Are First in Their Families to Attend College, Earn Degrees

Students at Marine Creek Collegiate High School are finishing their postsecondary careers as history makers in their families.
Before they cross the stage to accept their high school diplomas, some Marine Creek students have earned associate degrees from Tarrant County College (TCC) Northwest Campus. The students celebrated their associate degrees in a ceremony held on May 15.
Here are two exemplary Marine Creek Collegiate High School seniors who are graduating as first-generation college students in their families:

The class valedictorian and a National Honor Society member, Jennifer is attending the University of Texas at Arlington to study social work. She aspires to earn a master’s degree and return to help people struggling in her community.

Born in Mexico, the senior class president and a National Honor Society member, David will be pursuing an electrical engineering degree at the University of North Texas.
