The Talented I.M. Terrell Academy 2024 Class

The Fort Worth ISD is proud to celebrate the achievements of the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA Class of 2024.
Members of this year’s class are being recognized with full scholarships awarded by national organizations. Valencia Ivory, the academy’s College and Career Readiness Coach said this year’s graduating class is oozing with talent, and that’s worth celebrating.
This trio of students are just a few of Terrell’s talented graduates earning their diplomas on Friday, May 31.

Priya Stamper

The class valedictorian, Priya will attend Dartmouth College this fall studying government with a concentration in international studies. She is the academy’s first student accepted into an Ivy League school.
Priya aspires to intern in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. and pursue a career in the foreign service. As an I.M. Terrell student, Priya participated in National Honor Society and interned with aerospace and defense manufacturer Lockheed Martin. Academically she’s been recognized as a National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction and National Merit Commended Scholar.

Stephanie Casio

Stephanie is attending Rice University in Houston on a full scholarship this fall. She received a scholarship through the QuestBridge program. High school students awarded the scholarship are admitted early to QuestBridge partner institutions with four-year scholarships that fund tuition, housing, food, books, supplies, and travel expenses.

Richard Carrera

Richard is headed to the University of North Texas with his education paid in full, thanks to the Amazon Future Engineer scholarship. Recipients of the scholarship receive up to $40,000 in tuition to pursue a degree in engineering or computer science. Amazon Future Engineer scholarship recipients also receive a paid internship offer with the company their freshman year.
