Leo Yanez faced significant challenges in his academic journey. After dropping out in the 10th grade, Leo took a hiatus, only to return with a renewed sense of purpose. His decision to come back was fueled not only by personal ambition but also by the realization that he was a role model for his nephews, nieces, and younger relatives. Understanding the impact of his actions on his family's future, Leo was determined to set a positive example.

Returning to Paschal High School in the fall of 2023, Leo faced the daunting task of catching up academically while balancing numerous responsibilities outside the classroom. Despite being classified as a 10th grader upon his return, Leo's unwavering commitment and hard work propelled him to senior status by May. This remarkable achievement highlights his dedication and perseverance.

Leo's story is not just about academic success; it is also about balancing multiple roles and responsibilities. In addition to his studies, Leo works as a manager at a local McDonald's, showcasing his ability to juggle academic pursuits with real-world responsibilities. His dedication extends beyond the classroom and workplace, as he plays an integral role in supporting his family, who has endured several losses this year.
