Alondra Valenzuela Ramirez Achieves Goals In Spite of Life’s Difficulties

The Fort Worth ISD congratulates the Success High School Class of 2024 on their hard work and dedication.

This class has conquered hardships, earning many achievements along the way. This Saturday, high school diplomas will be conferred upon this outstanding class. One such student who has overcome significant challenges is Alondra Valenzuela Ramirez.

Throughout her life, cerebral palsy has impacted her speech and ability to walk. Her family moved from Mexico to Texas to provide her with better living conditions and the medical attention she required. Since childhood, Alondra has endured multiple surgeries and undergone therapy for a speech impediment. She has faced difficult circumstances in her life, but that has not deterred her from reaching her goals, said Ofelia Gonzalez Gamez, World History and Spanish teacher at Success. With a smile on her face, Alondra faces challenges head-on, wanting people to look beyond her circumstances to her intelligence, Gamez said.

“Alondra Valenzuela Ramirez is an excellent example of overcoming difficult challenges that life has dealt you,” said Gamez. “Her brave soul makes her not only a great student but also an excellent motivator.

“When faced with a challenge in class, she would always smile and say, ‘I can do it.’” After several surgeries, Alondra is able to walk with supports. She is graduating in the top five of her class.

We congratulate Alondra and all the graduates at Success High School who are truly inspiring. We look forward to your next act in the future. Congratulations!
