Despite Personal Issues, Dunbar HS Student Defies Obstacles to Graduate on Time
Fort Worth ISD is proud to celebrate the achievements and resilience of Dunbar High School’s Class of 2024. This year’s graduating class has persevered and deserves a round of applause for their achievements and dedication to closing out their high school careers soon.
One outstanding student battled personal issues that could have sidelined her but she thrived and will be walking with her peers on Thursday, May 30:
Taliyah Harris: During her high school career, Taliyah missed multiple school days because of health issues. Determined to graduate on time, she took on a hefty workload, completing extra courses including online credit recovery classes. “Throughout the year she has been a classroom leader” despite the challenges she was faced with, Coach Ryan Jones said.
Congratulations to Taliyah and the entire graduating class at Dunbar High School for your achievements in the face of obstacles. Your resilience shows the fight you have to be successful when future challenges arise, and we could not be more proud of you. Here’s to the Class of 2024!
